The newly surfaced live recordings of composer-saxophonist Alan Braufman's sextet Live from New York City, February 8, 1975, originally released April 2022, paint the picture of the Loft Jazz scene in 1970s New York. The 16 compositions arranged as four suites, bring a color that is purposeful and passionate throughout, playing joyfully with genre and texture.
Limited to 500 copies, the VMP exclusive edition of Alan Braufman's Live in New York City, February 8, 1975 is pressed on Opaque Blue Jay vinyl at GZ Vinyl. The 3LPs will arrive in a triple gatefold, direct-to-board, foil stamped and numbered jacket with new liner notes from Susan Mannheimer, the host of the 1975 live performance. It was mastered by Joe Lambert at Joe Lambert Mastering (JLM).
