Freelance and Freelance: Charlie are Reilly’s introductory projects that demonstrate his unshakeable stream-of-conscious technique as a way to relinquish the concept of control and lean into the word and theme of being ''free.'' The explorative projects tap into his origins in Brooklyn’s Brownsville and his ties to Atlanta, where he relocated to as a teenager.
In an interview with VMP, Reilly shared, ''I feel like both [Brooklyn and Atlanta] really shaped me into the person that I am, both on a personal level and a creative level.
