Founded by compser and percussionist Vincent Montana Jr., Salsoul Orchestra was a big band with a twist: they played disco. From 1974 to the early 1980s, they served as the backing band for several vocalists on Salsoul Records and recorded their own material, which included eleven LPs of hard-hitting Philly soul, Latin percussion, and funk.
Limited to 500 copies, the VMP exclusive version of The Salsoul Orchestra's Anthology I is pressed on 180g Lemon & Black Galaxy vinyl at Precision Record Pressing (PRP). The 2LPs will arrive in a gatefold, direct-to-board, foil-stamped and numbered jacket. It was digitally remastered by Philip Shaw Bova.
