Surprise Chef more than exceeded expectations when they cooked up their debut album, All News Is Good News. The funk and soul album features a 1970s influence with sounds ranging from flutes, saxophones, vibraphones, congas, and percussions recorded by Henry Jenkins from the band Karate Boogaloo.
The band's guitarist Lachlan Stuckey noted, “All of the music we record is tracked live to tape, simply because so many of the records we love most were made that way."
