Rodrigo Amarante is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles who has made an international name with his band Little Joy (alongside The Strokes’ drummer Fab Moretti and Binki Shapiro), also by recording and touring with Devendra Banhart on his last four albums and most recently for writing and producing the theme song for the Netflix show Narcos, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
What you might not know is that Amarante is an inescapable figure in Brazilian music. He is a founding member of the iconic band Los Hermanos and the samba supergroup Orquestra Imperial (alongside Seu Jorge and Moreno Veloso).
