A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons is the debut album from British rapper Little Simz. Calling it her debut is a bit of a misnomer though; from her start as a 16-year-old rapper in 2010 to this debut, the rapper born Simbiatu Ajikawo released four mixtapes and five EPs, all of them a crucial piece in the developing of the complete sound found on A Curious Tale. A concept album that finds Simz imagining different outcomes for herself––from being famous to being pinned at home with a couple kids––it’s all delivered with her complex, knotty, machine gun flow. Recorded for free at Red Bull Studios and self-released, it’s on vinyl for the first time here.
