Formed in 1995, Destroyer is a Canadian indie rock band with Dan Bejar as the band’s primary singer. Originally released in 2006 as Destroyer’s seventh album, Destroyer’s Rubies was met with significant acclaim during its initial run. Sonically, the album notably showcases a fully melodic and robust instrumental backing alongside Bejar’s lyrics and resonant vocals. The reissue pressing also includes a 24-minute vinyl-exclusive track titled “Loscil’s Rubies.”
