What better way to debut an album than starting with ALPHA? Former VMP Rising artist Charlotte Day Wilson's first album is a collection of R&B inspired songs. Despite the hugely collaborative aspects of the album, from songs featuring BADBADNOTGOOD, Daniel Caesar and Syd, to Mustafa's poem appearing on a music video, Wilson shared the importance of it remaining an exceptionally personal album.
She said, "I think that the beautiful thing about collaborating, and including other people in the process, is that it doesn’t take away at all from how personal something can be. In fact, I feel like the beautiful thing about it is that a good collaboration just adds a different dimension to the story that you were already telling."
