CHVRCHES have gone their own way since they burst on the indie rock scene in 2012. Self-producing their music and originally putting it up for free on Soundcloud, the band has remained one of the most consistently rewarding bands of the last few years as they've conquered festival stages, and released multiple smash albums. Their latest, Love Is Dead, is due out in May, and we recently talked to the band in Brooklyn about their beginnings, what it's like for lead singer Lauren Mayberry to be the face of Chvrches, and about the 10-inch we'll be sending members in May.
This podcast is presented Project Unfollow: an art, music and fashion series celebrating the world’s most iconic Unfollowers. It’s also presented by the first-ever BMW X2. In May, Project Unfollow will be sending 7,000 random Vinyl Me, Please members an Unfollow 10-inch, which will be on gold vinyl and with a deluxe gatefold jacket, and features two songs by CHVRCHES and 2 tracks that have influenced them.
