Twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé Diaz and Naomi Diaz, daughters of Buena Vista Social Club's Anga Diaz, go back to their roots for their newest and third album, Spell 31. The duo pulled the title of their album from a poem of the same name from The Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead.
The poem reads:
“Oh you with a spine, who would work your mouth against this Magic of mine
The sky encloses the stars, I enclose Magic
I enclose Magic”
Working their own magic on the album, it pulls sounds from electronic, soul, R&B and more.
