I dag på den helt vinyl Stax of Wax fejrer vi udgivelsen af Vinyl Me, Please plade i september 2017, Ready to Die af Notorious B.I.G.
Udgivet i september 1994 på Bad Boy Records, indeholdt dette album skarpe, tætte, indsigtsfulde og mesterligt poetiske tekster over et fundament af perfekt udvalgte samples. Disse samples er, hvad vi vil fokusere på i denne episode. Vi valgte 12 sange ud af de næsten 40 numre, der er samplet på denne plade, til dig at høre fra start til slut. I disse 12 sange vil vi høre musik fra 1960'erne til 1980'erne, 11 forskellige pladeselskaber, 9 forskellige sange fra Ready to Die, og fra fire forskellige og vanvittigt talentfulde producenter, der skabte og hjalp med at vælge de samples, der blev brugt på denne genre-definerende plade.
