Salamishah Tillet is an Associate Professor of English and Africana Studies and a faculty member of the Alice Paul Center for Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She's also the cofounder of A Long Walk Home, a non-profit that uses art to educate, engage, and empower young people to end violence against girls and women.
