So what we have here is an episode that is 100% dedicated to the simply groovy Ms. Betty Davis. It was such a funking treat to put this episode together. We will take a dive in to the Vinyl Me, Please record of the month which is the self-titled album by Betty Davis which was released originally in 1973 on Just Sunshine Records. While putting this episode together we were hearing influence from the hip hop scene, and more specifically from the early 2000s, so we threw in some of those tracks and linked them back to the Queen of Funk herself. There is also a phenomenal showcasing of talent that zooms in on the session musicians that made this breakout album possible. Of course, it's all brought to you on vinyl.

Mitch enjoys all things music and when he is not recording Stax of Wax, spinning records on his all-vinyl radio show Black Circle Radio, or learning how to be a dad, you can most likely find him very close to a pinball machine with a beer in hand.
