Featuring the likes of Khruangbin, Kali Uchis & The Shacks.
With a mere 10 days until the release of their sophomore album, Con Todo El Mundo, Khruangbin has given us a second taste of what’s to come. Unlike it’s upbeat counterpart “Maria Tambien,” “Friday Morning” showcases their ability to create a true vibe fit for, well, Friday Morning.
Kali Uchis has us getting all types of funky in 2018. Not only does “After the Storm” have insane features (Tyler, The Creator and legend Bootsy Collins), but it also features a complex sound from Kali that has us thinking it might be her year.
The Shacks have had a helluva few months. After appearing in a great cameo in the newest iPhone 8 commercial and being named one of NPR’s favorite rising stars, they’ve given us the first taste of their upcoming album, Haze. “Follow Me” is a sweet and breezy peek into the beach we presume Shannon Wise + Max Shrager go to in their minds when they write.
New artist forecast: UK-based Maya Law has got us bumping with her newest slow jam “Full Circle;” a beautifully realized collaboration with Deacon & Gabriel Gifford.
Alexandra Berenson is the A&R/New Music lead at Vinyl Me, Please. She currently lives in Denver, CO.
