Announcing the New Vinyl Me Please Member Platform

It’s a been a long time coming but we’re excited to finally be rolling out our new and improved member platform!

Starting today, we’ll be moving everything over and this new platform is where you’ll be able to manage your account and shop the member store. This means that in order to shop the store when it opens on JULY 18TH, you’ll need to be set up on the new platform. We highly encourage you to set your password and familiarize yourself with the new platform this week before the store opens next week.

Read on for all the info you need:


Logging in for the first time


For security purposes, we’re not able to transfer over your password, so you’ll have to set a new one before logging in. To do this, follow the steps below:


  1. Go to http://app.vinylmeplease.com

  2. Click “Sign In”

  3. Click “Forgot your password?” beneath the login form

  4. Enter your email, click “Send me reset password instructions"

  5. Check your email and follow the instructions to set a new password (check your spam folder if you don’t see it within a few minutes)

Once you login, you’ll be able to update & manage your VMP account, as well as shop the member store with just a few clicks of your mouse (or taps of your fingers).

Shopping the store


Shopping is simple, just click “Store” and browse at your heart’s desire. When you find something you like, add it to your cart and follow the checkout process.

You’ll notice you can update your billing/shipping info upon checkout. Please note, doing so will apply those changes to the rest of your account. We’ll eventually allow for multiple billing / shipping methods, but for now it’s just the one address.

Any credits you have on your account will automatically be applied to your order. You’ll be able to see those in the order summary like so:

Managing your account


After you login, you can click on “My Account” to view your current membership status, billing, and shipping info as well as your order history. It should be intuitive to use, but should you need to update any of your account info, just click edit and start editing (make sure you click “save” to save any changes).

You’ll be able to see credits on your account in the Account Credits section on the top right side of the “My Account” page. These will automatically be applied to your next charge, whether it be a store purchase or a membership renewal.

Add ons will continue to ship with your monthly records. Inside the “My Account” page, you’ll be able to view your order history by clicking on the “Orders” tab. We’ll eventually be including shipping status and tracking info here as well.

Issues, questions, etc.


With any new technology, there will likely be some errors. Should you come across anything that doesn’t seem right or isn’t working as you’d expect, please first take a look at our Knowledge Base and then shoot us an email if you still can’t figure it out.

We’ve worked really hard to smooth out some of the hosting issues we had previously so hopefully you’ll never have to see the “Error establishing database connection” page again!

We’ll be monitoring the system for issues and will work quickly to resolve them over the coming days, weeks, and months. Please be patient with us as we roll out this amazing new platform!
